Position: Commercial Lines Account Manager
Location: Allentown, PA - Hybrid (1-2 days a week from home)
Responsibilities
- Support producers in evaluating risks, quoting, and securing new business.
- Review applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and required signatures.
- Arrange premium finance contracts when necessary.
- Use agency management systems and carrier websites to handle tasks including new business processing, renewals, endorsements, audits, cancellations, certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, evidence of insurance, broker of record letters, and claims.
- Provide exceptional service to an assigned book of business, proactively responding to client needs.
- Document all activities in the agency management system.
- Analyze and recommend policy coverage changes; review policies for accuracy.
- Coordinate coverage marketing and placement alongside the Producer and Commercial Lines team.
- Communicate with company personnel and nurture client and carrier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Process premium billing manually if electronic options are unavailable.
- Handle client payments and prepare proposals and renewal materials for Producer presentations.
- Maintain organized and accurate customer files.
- Attend seminars and courses for professional development, keeping Continuing Education requirements up-to-date.
- Follow agency policies and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Licensing: PA Property & Casualty License required.
- 2+ years of CLAM experience.
- Bind Commercial Lines coverage within carrier-authorized limits.
- Discuss and negotiate policy terms with underwriters.
- Inform producers when client or company interaction is needed.
- Accept customer payments as authorized.
- Obtain customer signatures on necessary documents.
- Suggest improvements to agency procedures based on day-to-day observations.
