Qualifications

Employment Standards (Ability to):
- Must be able to operate all types of lawn maintenance equipment.
- Must have knowledge of safe chemical application procedures.
- At least one year of practical experience in gardening, grounds keeping, or landscaping is required.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or Trade School required. A study course related to the work is preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Long periods of standing and walking.
- Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting.
- Constant exposure to outdoor conditions; must be able to tolerate heat, sunshine, and weather changes.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted; heavier loads with help.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to extreme heat, cold, and vibration.
- The team member is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
