    Job Description

    We are in search of a committed and proficient Hotel Maintenance Technician 1 to become an integral part of our vibrant Resort Operations team. The ideal candidate will undertake a crucial role in upholding the resort's facilities, guaranteeing a secure and pleasurable experience for our guests. This position encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities, including preventive maintenance, problem-solving, and addressing guest inquiries promptly and effectively.

    • Execute engineering projects as directed by resort leadership.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure the optimal functioning of resort facilities.
    • Perform basic tasks such as painting, caulking, and repairing wall damages.
    • Troubleshoot and address plumbing issues in toilets, tubs, jacuzzis, showers, faucets, and sinks.
    • Reset breakers and GFCIs, replace bulbs, and determine voltage using appropriate tools.
    • Install, replace, and troubleshoot TVs, remotes, and other electronics.
    • Troubleshoot appliances, replace minor components, and assist in full replacements as needed.
    • Actively participate in the procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are readily available.
    • Utilize resort operations devices and software effectively (e.g., HotSOS).
    • Follow safety guidelines and practices while recognizing and identifying potential hazards.
    • Embrace additional responsibilities as delegated by management to contribute to the overall success of the guest experience.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma.
    • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on trades & maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
    • Be energetic, self-motivated, and expressive with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong communication skills are essential for fostering positive relationships with both guests and peers.
    • Able to adapt to various situations, thrive under pressure, and deliver results within designated timeframes is paramount.

    Requirements:

    • Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
    • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
    • Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
