The purpose of this role is to carry out all aspects of the unclaimed property process for Hyatt Corporation and all Hyatt hotels according to the policies and procedures. The Unclaimed Property Analyst is responsible for filing and reporting unclaimed property on behalf of all Hyatt entities. This role will also research and claim unclaimed property due to any Hyatt entity. Additional responsibilities will include processing due diligence notices, answering all inquiries from owners of unclaimed property, and reconciling unclaimed property detail to GL accounts. Essential Functions * Review and load unclaimed property detail provided by Genpact to the Tracker database and review for accuracy * Process due diligence letters as required by state statutes * Report, file, and pay unclaimed property to the states as required per each states statutes * Reply to all inquiries from owners of unclaimed property * Review state websites for unclaimed property due to Hyatt and process required information to claim the funds * Reconcile the unclaimed property detail in Tracker to the related hotel GL accounts * Research and process refund requests for unclaimed property filed in error to the states * Assist Corporate Legal as needed with state audits related to unclaimed property documentation requests. * Manage Service Now tickets assigned related to unclaimed property in a timely manner. * Assist hotels, Genpact and colleagues with questions regarding the unclaimed property process * Process responses to due diligence letters and submit requests for owner payments * Solicit feedback from internal customers to determine best response to continually improve the FSSCs performance (e.g. system change/enhancement, training, communication) * Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations * Work well with others at a variety of levels within the organization * Regular attendance is expected based on schedule and business needs * Participation in employee events, onsite meetings, hotel visits and industry conferences is expected * Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager The ideal candidate will also possess the following characteristics and skills * Maintain a work environment that is comfortable, user-friendly, and organized * Ability to adapt to new demands, reprioritize workload and address urgent demands quickly * Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to all associates and all internal/external resources * Eagerness and ability to learn new skills, technologies and business processes quickly * Ability to work well with others * Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and across all levels of the organization * Must be able to work inclusively, but also be able to work independently and without excessive supervision \ * Strong oral and written communication skills * Ability to maintain confidential employee and company information * Attention to detail Qualifications * 2+ Years' Accounting Experience or Bachelor's Degree Accounting * 1+ years Experience in a shared services/centralized services environment a plus * 1+ years Unclaimed Property experience a plus * Project Management experience a plus * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance a plus * 1+ years working expense with accounting software * Proficient with Oracle Financials a plus * Working experience with Tracker Pro a Plus * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
