Westgate Resorts is looking for a Jr. Sous Chef to support our diverse food and beverage outlets across the resort. Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily kitchen operations across various restaurant outlets.

• Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in food preparation, cooking, and plating.

• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.

• Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold best practices and standards.

• Assist in inventory management, food rotation, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.

• Collaborate with chefs and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.

• Monitor and maintain food safety guidelines, including temperature controls and sanitation.

• Step in as needed to lead and supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in professional kitchen, preferably in a resort setting.

• A diploma from a certified culinary academy is preferred but not required.

• Must obtain and maintain a Food Manager Certification.

• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining food quality and safety.

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in basic and advanced cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and sauce-making.
