Your personable nature will be evident as you engage with guests and colleagues, ensuring a secure and pleasant environment for everyone. Furthermore, this role may require stepping in as a Van Driver as needed. In the role of Maintenance Helper, your responsibilities will involve: • Being the Go-To Person: Executing routine property maintenance tasks such as painting, grouting, furniture moving, and basic equipment repairs to promote a safe and welcoming guest environment. • Being Prepared to Assist: Readily handling any emergencies that may occur during your shift in a prompt and efficient manner. • Being a Team Player: Willingly supporting other departments as necessary to guarantee the hotel's smooth operation. • Serving as a Safety & Security Advocate: Following the hotel's safety and security procedures, identifying potential issues, and promptly informing management when needed. The $1000 sign-on bonus comprises $100 in the first paycheck and the remaining $900 after completing 90 days of employment. Responsibilities: • Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel, such as changing light bulbs, replacing HVAC filters, and addressing minor plumbing issues. • Maintain all equipment and systems to prevent disruptions in hotel operations. • Respond promptly to guest requests for room repairs or maintenance to uphold high-quality guest experiences. • Regularly inspect hotel facilities to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance needs. • Collaborate effectively with different departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and projects efficiently. Qualifications: • Practical experience is required, and preference is given to candidates with trade school or related college coursework, as well as previous customer service and hotel experience. • Proficiency in working with various tools and equipment used in the department is essential. • Strong communication skills and a solid grasp of English are necessary, with fluency in English mandatory for van driving. • Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. • The role involves standing for extended periods, walking long distances, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching with your body and arms. • Comfort working under variable temperatures and noise levels is required. • Near vision is crucial for seeing details at close range. • Climbing stairs and moving quickly and agilely in emergency situations are vital. • Preparedness for long work hours, varying temperature conditions, noise levels, and working both indoors and outdoors, potentially on roofs. • Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odor hazards, dust, and mite hazards is to be expected.
