    Job Description

    As an Resort Experience Manager, you will:

    • Strategic Program Development: Conceptualize, execute, and oversee captivating activities and special event programs rooted in thematic concepts to elevate guest experiences.
    • Cultivate Team Synergy: Foster an empowering environment that amplifies team morale, fuels motivation, and fosters an unyielding sense of unity among team members.
    • Financial Management: Develop, refine, and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for optimal outcomes.
    • Vendor Collaboration: Directly engage and coordinate with esteemed Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism Management (RR & TM), Orlando Dive, Hair Ropes, etc., to seamlessly curate and facilitate top-tier products, programs, and services for diverse Activities and Events.
    • Personnel Oversight: Conduct comprehensive applicant interviews, verify references, and oversee the hiring process. Manage payroll inputs, reviews, and the preparation of timecards for RR & TM staff.
    • Policy Development: Establish and refine departmental policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure stringent adherence to standards.
    • Collaborative Leadership: Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings alongside department heads, supervisors, and managers to synchronize efforts and foster cross-functional collaboration.
    • Communication and Information Management: Take charge of inputting and updating the resort's information television channel. Prepare comprehensive supervisory reports for incidents and maintain a proactive stance on emergency and safety protocols.
    • Recreational Program Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the RR & TM recreational program, ensuring alignment with safety standards and enhancing guest experiences.
    • Training Coordination: Facilitate comprehensive CPR and First Aid Training sessions to uphold a secure environment for guests and team members.
    • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee the procurement of sports and recreation equipment. Responsible for acquiring essential items to sustain the Kids Club's activities.
    • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all inventories purchased and distributed by the Activities/Events department, aligning with CFI and Westgate accounting standards.
    • Safety and Compliance Assurance: Stay updated on the compliance of recreational and sports equipment, lakes, ponds, game rooms, and outdoor facilities, ensuring they meet and exceed safety standards.
    • Marketing and Safety Protocols: Manage the input of the Westgate TV channel, promoting special events and disseminating crucial resort information. Act decisively to cancel or halt activities in adverse weather or unsafe conditions, prioritizing participant safety.
    • Strategic Marketing Support: Design, order, and distribute impactful marketing materials for resort-wide, VIP, or team member activities and events.
    • Adaptive Task Management: Execute additional duties assigned by the General Manager or Director of Resort Operations, including requisitioning supplies for activities, team member programs, the Kids Club, and the Activity Center.
