TALENT ACQUISITION MANAGER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- DEVELOPS ORGANIZATIONAL RECRUITMENT STRATEGY by collaborating with hiring managers and Human Resource Specialists to determine staffing and talent needs, identifying talent gaps and vulnerabilities, prioritizing acquisition efforts based on analysis, developing an employment branding and recruitment strategy to most effectively meet talent and staffing projections, and implementing approved strategy. - 25%
- GENERATES ADEQUATE SELECTION OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATES by identifying effective candidate sourcing opportunities, developing advertising and promotional materials to include traditional and digital employment marketing and social media techniques, organizing and participating in employment and networking events and career fairs, developing productive working relationships with recruitment and staffing agencies, monitoring staffing reports and supply of qualified applicants, reviewing recruitment yields, and adjusting sourcing and recruitment techniques as needed. - 25%
- ENSURES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF RECRUITMENT AND ON-BOARDING PROCESSES by monitoring recruitment and selection processes and front desk activities, tracking and reviewing visitor/candidate and new hire feedback surveys, identifying improvement opportunities, recommending modifications and solutions as needed, writing and publishing approved new or revised procedures, providing information, updates and guidance to staff members as needed. - 20%
- MONITORS AND MANAGES INTERVIEWING AND SELECTION ACTIVITIES -by evaluating pre-employment assessment tools, observing interviewing activities, identifying improvement opportunities, training and coaching hiring managers on proper interview techniques, and developing and implementing interviewing and selection tools to aid hiring managers with selection decisions. - 15%
- DEVELOPS STAFF MEMBERS by monitoring team member performance, training team members, conducting performance appraisals, and providing guidance, counseling and corrective action as needed. - 15%
TALENT ACQUISITION MANAGER JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years human resources experience with an emphasis in talent acquisition
- 2 years supervisor experience in a fast paced environment
Desirable:
- PHR or SPHR certification
- Human Resources Certificate from established University
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Federal employment laws
- Working knowledge and understanding of State employment laws
- Working knowledge of social media recruitment strategies
- Ability to apply knowledge and make sound judgments
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse team member population
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Excellent English writing proficiency
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and database management
- Record-keeping and organizational skills
