part of a self-directed work team, facilitates efficient functioning of
the Event Operations Department by providing knowledgeable and proactive
customer service for Conformation and Obedience events. Involves
detailed analysis of information supplied by customers and the
appropriate application of rules, regulations, procedures, and Board
policies related to event applications, judging panels, clubs, dog
records, and both dog and event eligibility. Must also work with other
AKC teams and multiple levels of management within the AKC to provide
customer satisfaction and issue resolution. May be required to perform
other departmental duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Customers
served include exhibitors, event chairpersons, show secretaries,
superintendents, clubs, judges, and AKC management. * Processes
information for event applications, judges panels, and event results.
Information may be received online or on paper. Evaluates event
information and anticipates possible verification and validation issues.
Resolves issues by communicating with customers and applying business
knowledge. * Assists customers with the interpretation and enforcement
of AKC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. * Periodically
reviews pending applications and judge panels to see if events can be
approved. If still problematic, reminds customer of outstanding issues.
- Communicates with customers using email and telephone calls. Answers
inquiries regarding status of event applications, judge panels, or
results processing. Documents customer interactions. * Assists customers
with the use of the AKC website by answering questions concerning
navigation and the use of features. * Serves as the primary AKC point of
contact for a clubs event processing prior to an event. The Event
Operations representative often serves in the role as an account manager
for the club, event, or cluster of events. * Digitally scans and indexes
event and other pertinent documentation. Assists with the cataloging and
storage of event documentation. * Processes club membership and officer
