    Job Description

    The PAYER CONNECTIVITY ANALYST is responsible for performing research and requirements documentation as part of the Payer Connectivity team for delivery of services to support the product, operations, and technical organizations.  The Payer Connectivity team will research and document requirements for connectivity with payers and trading partners to support the existing and evolving data needs of Experian Health products and customers.  This position will work with product leaders, clearinghouse teams, and external payer and trading partner personnel to research, establish, and maintain connectivity required to drive Experian Health’s data ecosystem.

    Job duties:

    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with payer, trading partner, and industry representatives for the purposes of furthering the connectivity strategy and best practice.
    • Establish, build and strengthen internal relationships with product leaders, development, customer support and implementation and leverage those relationships to meet the connectivity needs of the organization.
    • Represent the connectivity team as a Subject Mater Expert on client calls to support relationship management and implementation teams, as well as provide coordination between vendors and internal technical staff.
    • Technical requirements gathering and documentation for new and changing connectivity
    • Act as an escalation path for assistance with payer/trading partner issues, missing claims/remittance/acknowledgement files, connectivity, all respective matters, and provide guidance through best practice expertise
    • Complete cross reference data review of new implementation’s payer master against Experian’s existing payer table, and create new payer connections as needed/available
    • Maintain close collaboration with Tier 1, 2 and 3 support teams
    • Perform and collaborate on root cause analysis related to connectivity and payer related issues.
    • Drive and innovate workflow processes including automation, process improvement (Lean six sigma).
    • Document issues in SalesForce, Jira or any other established tools.
    • Fully participate in the tracking and continuous improvement of operational processes, including maintaining KPIs. 
    • Possible occasional after hours or weekend monitoring
    • Other Duties as Required.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education and experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
    • 3 -5 years prior business analyst, data analytics, production control or production monitoring experience preferred.
    • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management software and technology preferred.
    • Established network of contacts within payer, trading partner, and industry work groups (X12, WEDI, Collaborative Exchange, FHIR, etc.) community preferred.
    • Product management experience preferred
      • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Knowledge and skills:

    • Organization and project management skills with attention to detail
    • Healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred
    • X12 EDI experience - Minimum 1 Year - 3 Years Preferred
    • Experience working with Clearinghouse technical team, especially related to network, API, EDI, FHIR, 5010 (industry standard advancement)
    • Experience with all healthcare-related EDI transaction types with specific experience with Real Time transactions (270/271, 276/277 and 278)
    • SQL experience preferred
    • Effective communication and relationship building skills
    • Self-motivated, autonomous
