    Job Description

    ANALYTICS CONSULTANT:

    The Tableau Developer will work within the Health Analytics Team, designing and developing reports in line with best practice design standards, supporting our users, and sharing knowledge within our team and community.

    In addition, the role holder will include building new product initiatives for healthcare organizations. The candidate will need to split their time focusing on Tableau Development while learning the industry and what delivers the highest value for our customers.

    Specific job duties include:

    • Designing reports that answer business questions and make the most of Tableau’s capabilities

    • Full focus on quality of output and accuracy of reporting

    • Documenting report build specifications for future support cases

    • Collaborate with data engineers on architecture required to support visualization applications and ensure sustainable and timely data pipelines.

    • Proactively identify and communicate dependencies, issues, risks and, or barriers to completing assignments, and escalate to appropriate project stakeholders and, or supervisors.

    • Lead by example by designing powerful user-focused content in line with our design standards

    • Contribute to and assist in defining best practices around dashboard development, testing, access management and scheduling.

    • Continue to develop your knowledge of Tableau and share this knowledge with your team and across our users

    • Analytical skills to evaluate, understand and interpret data both from an internal and client perspective.

    • Understanding of analytic questions and devise data extract strategies, write SQL and interpret the results.

    • Understanding of relational database structure and business objectives to extract and organize relevant data for reporting analysis.

    • Ability to assess trends and insight using multiple data sets and large amounts of data.

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a global virtual team and be flexible in supporting the team deliver on all its responsibilities, not just those specific to this role

    • Perform complex data analysis, on time, to deliver analytics that will help better business decisions and monitor and improve KPIs.

    Education and Experience Guidelines:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or related discipline required.
    • 5+ years experience designing and developing effective reports
    • First class knowledge of Tableau Desktop/Creator, with multiple years of hands-on experience
    • Knowledge of trends and emerging possibilities in MI/BI, data, and automation
    • Exceptional knowledge of data visualization best practice and trends
    • Thorough and organized in all aspects of work, including technical work and supporting documentation
    • Excellent understanding of data flows, hierarchies, and data aggregation
    • Experience extracting data from large, complex data warehouse using SQL and/or stored procedures.
    • A self-starter with excellent personal time-management and motivation to succeed

    Technical requirements:

    • Analytical Skills: Data Science, Statistics, Logic, Data Analysis.
    • Computer Applications: Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, Database Queries (SQL)
