McKean Defense is looking for an experienced designer for full time employment at their Hampton, VA facility. Using design and drafting expertise, this designer will develop technical drawings, facilitate redline incorporation, support ship alteration packages, and provide shipboard equipment installation support. McKean's Design projects are broad in variety, scope, and complexity. This designer will apply technical principles to support system design, material specifications, This designer will be responsible for providing AutoCAD design support for shipboard Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems such as propulsion, steam systems, auxiliary systems, hydraulic systems, electrical, HVAC, and habitability.
