The Support Claims Clerk supports the claim operation by completing a wide variety of tasks designed to gather and organize claim information for processing by claim examiners and analysts. Key functions of this role vary as business needs dictate but often include such tasks as creating and indexing verifications for assignments, customer contacts, child support searches, state searches, MSGL’s, and claims indexing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities;
Sort and import assignments received via electronic fax or e-mail for ingestion into Onbase document repository system
Research and identify policy information and create verifications for outside companies
Send electronic faxes and emails to outside companies regarding verifications and policy information
Answer telephones and provide basic customer service to outside companies
Locate and identify information for child support searches
Accumulate reports with policies found regarding state searches
Index new claims via RightFax, Outlook, or OnBase
Input initial benefit lines into Mainframe system
Support examiners and analysts by creating and sending out letters for requested information
Concurrently access multiple databases, software programs, and/or online tools to perform required job functions
Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and coaching sessions
Maintain high degree of quality control and validation of completed work
Meet or exceed established standards for productivity and quality
Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA standards
Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous data entry and/or customer service experience a plus
Work experience in a production environment preferred
Strong computer literacy
