The Community Relations/Events Specialist is responsible for developing and executing Globe Life’s charitable outreach initiatives. Research, vet, and document options for charitable opportunities for Globe Life and its affiliate companies. Present options to upper management and liaise with charitable organizations, Marketing, HR, Travel departments, upper management, and others to plan, promote, and execute hands-on charitable projects, activities, and giving opportunities. Responsible for documenting all processes and reporting charitable financial impact. Seasonal travel to execute projects. This individual also assists with various event coordination tasks related to yearly meeting and conventions, award and recognition, and other activities requested by management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, vet, and document options for charitable opportunities for Globe Life and its affiliates
- Present options to upper management and liaise with charitable organizations, Marketing, HR, Travel departments, upper management, and others to plan and execute hands-on charitable projects, activities, and giving opportunities
- Document all processes, track financial impact
- Travel as needed to execute projects
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop and execute high-quality internal communications to inform, engage and motivate employees and field force to participate in charitable events
- Assist with event coordination tasks as needed including convention, home office events, contest incentives/promotion, and Award fulfillment
Participate in Charitable Giving Sub-Committee meetings

- Excellent time management with ability to prioritize multiple assignments autonomously

Develops effective and positive working relationships with diverse groups
Required Experience
- A. or B.S. in English, Communications, or Public Relations from a four-year college or university
- Experience in social media promotion a plus
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MAC, and PC, and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to communicate with various company departments, outside vendors, and charitable organizations
