    JOB SUMMARY

    Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

    Primary Responsibility is overseeing the pre-sales production process in a Distribution Center.

    The primary duties of this department is test, repair clean and package fast moving inventory prior to customers placing an order. In addition, perform incoming evaluation of items purchased inventory to insure we are not buying defective goods and these items are accurately received. Also owning repair pre-evaluation and technical warranty support/evaluation for surplus and repair.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Strategic planning for production, packaging and storage of our top selling part numbers

    · Staging and coordinating high volume jobs from Receiving through Production and back to stock

    · Managing pre-evaluation of incoming repair jobs

    · Managing and coordination of surplus and repair RMAs between Production/Customer Service

    · Reporting of analytics of department performance

    · Assisting with various duties as they relate to the quality assurance processes of Radwell International.

    · Perform pre-evaluation of incoming surplus bids.

    · Make sure units are complete including all hardware and software.

    · Assure proper labeling of all units.

    · Identifying need and suggesting/building/implementing new test fixtures/assets/talent/training/research etc.

    · Spot check 5 units daily for quality of workmanship

    · Run daily numbers report and post in the shop for all to see

    · Proper use of MRS reporting system is required

    · Provide assistance to the NRTS QA Surplus team in high workload situations

    · Other duties and responsibilities to support various needs of production may be assigned at Production Manager discretion

    METRICS

    Maintain a two-work day order backlog or less of Pre-Eval units.

    Pre-cert a minimum of 700 units per week.

    Performance requirements driven by the previous months completed work by exceeding the previous month’s works volume and quality

    · Five Units will be daily spot checked for quality of workmanship

    · Warranty rate Goals will be no more than < 0.5%

    · Periodic Aptitude Testing both written and Technical

    · Complete one job every five minutes on average.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · Must have a proven track record in a similar technical environment

    · Must understand the products being repaired and processed from technical background and experience; should be able to provide technical advice and assistance to all phases of the production cycle.

    · Strong computer skills; ability to learn and understand Radwell computer systems to perform job tasks in an automated environment

    · Strong knowledge of all aspects of Production, Operations, and Inventory computer software

    · Previous managerial and/or supervisory experience preferred

    · A positive attitude with the ability to supervise and motivate employees in a team-oriented environment.

    · Ability to work well with upper management in implementing directives and other supervisory personnel in operating the department.

    · Ability to identify needed improvements in existing processes and implement changes.

    · Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends if necessary, in order to complete assignments on schedule in order to meet objectives.

    · Good organizational and communication skills.

    · Ability to handle relationships with customers and suppliers.

    · Ability to evaluate and solve problems as they occur.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    · High School Diploma, technical school or equivalent preferred

    · One to three years related experience and/or training

    · Prior supervisory experience needed

    · Technical product knowledge required

    · Electronic industry experience required

    · Drives and Servo Drives experience a plus

    EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY

    · Introductory Review -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employment will continue

    · Quarterly Reviews – Employee will be given a brief written quarterly review primarily focused on quantitative performance and measurement of activity.

    · Annual Reviews – Monthly reviews will factor in as a big part of this process along with attendance, job knowledge, overall performance and dependability.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    The work hours will be dependent upon what is necessary to support, manage, and achieve the goals and necessary productivity levels of the subordinate staffs. Normal working hours of staff members will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. When overtime is scheduled must be available to supervise and support as needed before or after those hours, or on weekends. Adherence to attendance and coverage policies is expected to be followed diligently. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.
