    SUMMARY

    Brewery Ommegang is seeking individuals for the summer high season for the Tap House Back of House. Qualified candidates will have kitchen experience, be able to stand for long periods of time and have a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends. High season is typically early May through early October. Come learn alongside experienced cooks who have a passion for the food they produce and the beer that goes with it!

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Prepare food for daily service

    Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies

    Handle equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools

    Cook menu items in cooperation with rest of kitchen staff

    Process and manage food tickets ensuring that food comes out simultaneously, in a high quality and timely fashion

    Report equipment and menu issues to management

    Clean up stations and take care of leftover food

    Wash dishes used in kitchen throughout the day

    Stock inventory appropriately

    Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

    Follow all opening and closing instructions

    Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Proven working experience as a cook in a professional kitchen

    Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

    Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

    Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, works well in a team

    Will be required to have food handlers license

    Weekend work required
