Job Description
The Financial Analyst position is responsible for providing accurate and data based analysis and information on the company’s financial and operational results. The role will research and analyze financial information to help the company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements. The Financial Analyst will help provide supporting analysis for a team of Finance Business Partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to Department Finance Business Partners and Business Unit Sr. Finance Managers based on sound analysis
- Support process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact Finance, as well as other departments and Business Units
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent computer skills are required; experience using email, instant message, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, as well as the ability to learn how to navigate unfamiliar systems or programs quickly.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent job related experience
- 2-4 years related work experience
- Intermediate to expert Excel skills
- Experience in Oracle Planning or other financial software systems preferred
- Experience working in BI software preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to work sitting at a computer for long periods of time
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks and maintain focus
- Environment where dogs may be present (office areas only)
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
