WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Leverage process improvement methodologies to develop process mapping, assessment, and reengineering frameworks for Finance and Accounting process owners, including process flow diagrams, roles/responsibilities, gap analysis reports etc.
- Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures that reduce process variation while allowing for flexibility and scale
- Collaborate and contribute to the creation, deployment, and maintenance of process best practices and documentation
- Establish and maintain team calendar workflow, implementing efficiencies and process improvements where appropriate
- Manage the monthly close schedule process (and related data requests) with network counterparts and internal management. Facilitate the administration of monthly close data requests as necessary
- Facilitate and manage the administrative function of internal and external audit requests
- Work with management to prioritize team projects and priorities to focus team efforts where most appropriate.
- Ensure SOPs and SOX workflow narratives are centrally maintained. Facilitate annual update and retention of these documents.
- Assist in Business Continuity Process for the Accounting department.
- COMMUNICATION / ESCALATION MANAGEMENT: Efficiently and accurately conveys information involved in projects and workflow activities. Takes initiative to help the organization communicate and learn from its successes and mistakes. Uses meeting management, conflict management, and presentation techniques, as well as listening skills, to facilitate effective communications. Accurately differentiates issues and determines who needs to be consulted/updated and whether the issue requires escalation. Implements process steps for bringing appropriate project issues to the attention of management.
- RISK / ISSUE MANAGEMENT : Understands the risk and issues management process and techniques, including risk identification, quantification, and risk response (e.g., acceptance, mitigation, avoidance, risk response control). Works with others to identify and categorize risks and issues related to schedule, quality, and employee.
- INDEPENDENT CONTRIBUTOR : Fully functional and self-directed. Moderate complexity assignments - owner (1 or >). Low complexity assignments - provide oversight/review. Regularly leads self and established as a specialist. Sees the whole picture and adjusts work accordingly.
