What you’ll be doing...
As an Adobe Principle Engineer, you will be a technical marketing expert in our Adobe Campaign Center of Excellence, specializing in campaigns designed to deliver results against key business objectives supporting our diverse product/service portfolio. You will be working in Verizon’s instances of the Adobe Experience Cloud (Campaign Classic, Experience Manager, Experience Platform, and Journey Optimizer) and part of a collaborative cross-functional marketing team that drives real, measurable results for Verizon. For your part, you’ll design and implement complex multi-vehicle campaigns and be the technology liaison between the platform and various groups within various other groups within the consumer communications ecosystem.
In this role, you’ll manage all technology requirements related to campaign/data development & deployment – including the strategic, tactical and support functions (creative, technology, and analytics) across a variety of customer touchpoints (e.g., email, SMS, Push Messaging, In-app Messaging, Direct Mail, Personalized Videos). Your key objective is to leverage marketing technology to enable, automate and optimize programs that drive business/revenue performance in various Verizon products and services.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as a SME for Product outbound communication planning/execution.
Designing and building best-in-class end-to-end personalized messaging journeys (Campaign Classic / Journey Optimizer).
Assessing which data elements will be required to reach the “right” targeted customers and determine what fields are needed for effective personalization of the message given the campaign strategy, vehicle(s), objectives and deploying system (EDW, AEP, CDP, etc.).
Identifying if all elements are present within the existing Adobe profile and design flow of any additional needed data elements into the platform (e.g., HTML, SQL, ETL).
Performing quality assurance review of all work, including yours and work from external parties (e.g., other campaign engineers, agencies).
Reviewing existing campaigns to leverage opportunities to improve campaign performance based upon initial campaign results.
Providing subject matter expertise on Verizon’s implementation of Adobe Campaign and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Working with IT, business and communication stakeholders across Verizon.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience using/designing Campaign Management Software.
Four or more years of relevant work experience in design, development and testing.
Experience documenting and communicating new and existing processes.
Proficiency with Adobe Experience Manager.
Experience in the following languages: SQL, CSS, HTML with at least foundational knowledge of JavaScript.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
Email marketing experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Computer Science or an IT-related discipline.
Adobe Experience and/or certification (Campaign Classic, Experience Platform, Journey Optimizer, etc.).
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and display a high level of professionalism, including the ability to work with internal/external staff and business-minded clients.
Experience with HADOOP, SQOOP, BigQuery, Tableau, Crontab, Oracle, and/or GCP.
Experience with Adobe Campaign.
Experience with personalization and targeting tools.
Experience working with content management systems or software.
Ability to work independently at times on multiple tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An eagerness for learning and an abundance of curiosity.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and identify areas for improved efficiency.
