    What you’ll be doing...

    You’ll work with cross functional teams including Engineering, Customer Service Center and Contract Administration to plan, organize, schedule and control all mainline and entrance projects within the force to load guidelines.

    • Prioritizing workload based on due dates and customer requirements.
    • Tracking jobs status and accomplishments including the close out of completed jobs.
    • Maintaining productivity and cost reports.
    • Completing quality inspections and daily time reporting for all direct reports.
    • Managing contingent personnel working as watchmen.

    What we’re looking for...

    You’re organized, motivated, and detail oriented, and known for your sound judgment. Solving problems creatively and constantly looking for ways to improve processes are some of your strengths. You’re comfortable holding people accountable for their performance and their adherence to policy, and you’re able to inspire and engage diverse groups to do their best work.

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar and/or four or more years of work experience.
    • Knowledge of methods of municipal construction including excavation, trenching, sheeting.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
    • Ability to work with construction superintendents and professional engineers.
    • Strong negotiation, communication and cost estimating skills.
    • Strong organizational, time-priority management and results oriented leadership skills.
    • Experience administering processes and policies as they relate to: safety, attendance, performance work rules and code of conduct.
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
    • Experience with communication systems and tools.
    • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Gmail.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Knowledge of Joint Bidding contract language and processes.
    • Supervisory experience in a field operations environment.
    • Experience providing training, feedback and motivation to employees.
    • Knowledge of employment/labor laws.
    • Customer service experience.
    • Four or more years of knowledge of installation and maintenance on copper or fiber technology.
    • Experience with outside plant construction, electronics and placing/splicing copper/fiber.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $134,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
