    The Enterprise Architecture group is seeking an Associate Director of Enterprise Architecture with a focus on scaling the software development lifecycle leveraging Generative AI. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing cutting-edge AI strategies to create the Generative AI architecture within Verizon ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and aligning with our business objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of the GenAI-enabled SDLC Platform. Software development cycle and Developer Productivity Strategy and its successful implementation across Verizon, given the strategic importance of Generative AI for enhancing developer productivity in 2025. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the adoption and scaling the GenAI SDLC Platform, ensuring its scalability and effectiveness in improving the SDLC process.

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Defining and providing strategic direction and vision for the SDLC platform, aligning it with Verizon's business goals and objectives.

    • Driving the adoption of generative AI within the SDLC process, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

    • Leading efforts to enhance the Inspire AI Platform's capabilities to support the unique SDLC nuances of all Verizon portfolios.

    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the platform with existing systems and processes.

    • Overseeing the management and operations of the Inspire AI Platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and performance.

    • Monitoring the platform usage and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

    • Implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance. Enhance the Platform's capabilities to support the unique SDLC nuances of all Verizon portfolios.

    • Identifying opportunities for integrating emerging technologies, such as agentic ai, to further streamline & enhance the SDLC process.

    • Collaborating with external partners and industry experts to stay abreast of the latest advancements in this space.

    • Engaging with key stakeholders, including business leaders, product owners, and developers, to gather feedback and understand their requirements.

    • Communicating the value and benefits of the Inspire AI Platform, addressing concerns, and addressing issues proactively.

    • Developing & implementing a robust metrics framework to measure the platform's impact on developer productivity, SDLC efficiency, and overall business outcomes.

    • Reporting progress to senior management, providing insights into the platform's performance, and identifying areas for further optimization.

    What we’re looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.

    • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

    • Experience in Full stack Development and Agentic AI

    • Experience in Knowledge Graphs

    • Experience in Software Delivery

    • Experience in articulating the business drivers and architectural approach/trade-offs during discussions for solutions.

    • Experience with emerging technologies and tools; Generative AI, Chat Bots, AI and ML, Large language models, RAG architecture, Business intelligence.

    Even better if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, computer science, or related discipline.

    • Strong management experience with leading software developers/architects, systems, or process analysts.

    • Experience leading complex projects by bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks, and integrating feedback from clients and team members.

    • Ability to perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions.

    • Experience building and driving adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns.

    • Experience in leading and participating in performance tests to identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands for product launches.

    • Talent development & management to ensure resources keep continuing to increase their skills.

    • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and adapt to changes.

    • Knowledge of Wireless, Wireline Consumer and Business organizations.

    • Experience in business intelligence technologies and Data analysis.

    • Ability to facilitate group meetings/discussions.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
