    What you'll be doing...

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing - Media COE, the Associate Director of Programmatic & Social Paid Media - Media COE is expert in platform-based performance digital media buying, targeting, data and analysis platforms, and leveraging technologies to enable efficient growth and ad performance optimization. This role oversees all Programmatic, Native and Social media plans and buys across display, social and platform-based online video, and manages a hybrid team including internal Verizon and external agency team and collaborates with the Consumer and Brand teams as well as the Corporate Marketing Organization, Business Units, and our Internet Sales Operations teams driving demand for and engagement with the Verizon Business brand.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Crafting and implementing robust strategies that optimize both paid and organic channels to achieve growth targets efficiently - owning Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) outcomes.

    • Orchestrating paid social, programmatic, and native tactics and initiatives that resonate with our target audience, continually optimizing performance.

    • Adopt and promote the test-learn-rollout model for new techniques, media partners, data and platforms.

    • Work across the Segment Leadership Teams to identify key priorities and design cohesive plans across BUs.

    • Work with the content team for better audience insights and campaign performance.

    • Interface with the CMO organization on media strategy, planning and buying, campaign optimization.

    • Ensure E2E Media plans reflect best performing tactics to drive traffic across segments (i.e. Chat, .com, Telesales, etc.).

    • Ensure E2E transparency in media performance and effectively communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

    • Drive innovation in media approaches, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

    • Empower and develop a team of media professionals, fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability.

    What we're looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

    • Experience in digital paid media, specializing in technology platforms, data solutions and marketing technology enablement.

    • Experience driving successful, data-driven media strategies that had a direct impact on sales growth.

    • Experience growing and leading an advanced team of platform-based social and programmatic media professionals.

    • Hands-on experience with self-serve paid and organic performance media tools and platforms.

    • Experience with advertising channels across various platforms and buying methodologies.

    • Mastery of primary buying platforms and formats, including Google, Amazon, AAP, Trade Desk, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.

    • Experience leveraging data-driven media technology (e.g. Liveramp, Adobe, AAM, Epsilon, Acxiom).

    • Experience with ad verification and brand safety tools (IAS, Doubleverify, Moat)

    • Analytical skills to ensure media is driving business performance

    • Proven ability to translate market and customer insights, objectives and KPIs into operational plans that deliver target business and media outcomes.

    • Experience with data sources to ensure the internal and agency teams can connect the right data sources to drive addressable inventory targeting and performance decisions (i.e. audience targeting via DMP).

    • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution across departments.

    • Proven track record of establishing and achieving key performance metrics for media spend, including extensive experience in cost-per delivery, performance reporting and analysis.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, customer oriented environment.

    • Willingness to travel as required for the role.

    • Experience driving improvement in media effectiveness across channels.

    • Experience within a direct response or ecommerce capacity.

    • Experience inspiring others in your work group to achieve team goals.

    • Strong project management skills demonstrated by a history of on-time and on-budget launches; deadline oriented.

    • Experience balancing day to day tactical issues with strategic initiatives and complex technical projects.

    • Knowledge of wireless products & services.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $118,000.00 and $219,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
