    What you'll be doing...

    As a Retail Operations Business Intelligence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the national retail distribution channel. In this role you will be focused on return on investment or our many third party staffing programs across several retailers including Walmart, Target, Best Buy and others. You will be responsible for writing data harvesting scripts from different data sources, designing business viability cases based on ROI modeling, analyzing various aspects of retail operations, including sales data harvested from retailer and other third party systems, retailer trends, churn data, market trends, impact of staffing programs on consumer behavior, and impact of programs on top line sales. Your insights will directly influence key business strategies aimed at enhancing profitability, optimizing third party labor allocation, and improving overall performance of all programs.

    Responsibilities:

    Data Analysis:

    • Design analytics strategies with input from Finance Department and retailer sales teams, harvest, organize, and analyze retail sales data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

    • Utilize existing statistical techniques and develop new strategies for analyzing retail operations programs. Develop analytical tools to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

    • Create key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales performance, staffing efficiency, and program impact by using the statistical data.

    Program Planning:

    • Develop ROI forecasts and program scalability models based on historical data, market trends, and seasonal variations.

    • Identify key market opportunities to focus on for growth

    • Create merchandise planning and assortment optimization by providing data-driven recommendations.

    Reporting and Presentation:

    • Design and prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations for senior management.

    • Present findings in a clear and concise manner, highlighting actionable insights and potential business opportunities.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and finance, to align strategies and initiatives.

    Strategy Development:

    • Support strategic decision-making processes by providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

    • Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies, annual plans, and budgeting processes.

    • Identify areas for operational improvement and efficiency gains through data-driven analysis and optimization.

    What we're looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related field and four or more years of experience.

    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).

    • Experience with data analysis.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or Tableau.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

    • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying trends and patterns in data.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    • Knowledge of retail industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $97,000.00 and $196,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
