    • Simple Mobile: Carving out a niche of its own, Simple Mobile shines as the premier choice among authorized resellers. Its consistent recognition as the most carried brand in Wave7 Research’s prepaid dealer survey for 36 consecutive quarters speaks volumes about its popularity and reliability.

    What You’ll be Doing:

    In this role, you will lead end-to-end strategic projects for the Value business, as well as cross-BU initiatives that involve the portfolio of Value brands. Strategy projects could include innovation, partnerships, revenue growth, churn reduction, and cost transformation initiatives.

    You will work across the Value organization to identify and analyze key strategic questions that underpin decisions made by Value executive leadership.

    The ideal candidate will be able to self-govern and be comfortable taking ownership of initiatives that directly impact the growth trajectory of our Value portfolio. You will act as a key partner and advisor to Verizon Value leadership providing thought leadership, recommendations, and driving action-oriented solutions with objective, clear, impactful analysis.

    Your data-based insights and analyses will inform decision making for the Value business, impacting Revenue, Subscriber growth, and EBITDA.

    This role is dynamic, fast-paced, and covers a broad range of issues impacting the telecom, platforms, and technology sectors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serving as strategic thought partner to senior executives in the Value business•

    • Identifying emerging trends, critical business risks, and opportunities to inform all levels of our strategy

    • Developing structured near and long-term perspectives for Verizon Value, with a strong outside-in orientation

    • Defining and supporting the strategic planning process and other key operational activities

    • Leveraging data analysis to support arguments and recommendations

    • Leading projects independently including research, analysis, and recommendations

    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives and recommendations forward

    • Gathering data across various platforms, such as EDW, ThoughtSpot, and external sources for analytics and insights

    • Presenting logical and persuasive arguments adapted to audience, and communicate ideas and analyses effectively

    You are curious, a self-starter and an innovative thinker. You understand new technologies and how we can solve consumers' needs and wants. You can see the bigger picture, and help others see it, too. You enjoy digging through data for insight into opportunities for how we can help our consumers work, play and connect in new and better ways. You are extremely comfortable with working in ambiguous environments and can work well with diverse groups of people.

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience

    • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

    • Two or more years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, or similar experience

    • Financial modeling (e.g., forecasting, creating business plans) and strong data analysis skills

    Even Better if you have:

    • MBA or advanced degree

    • Strong consulting and/or experience with corporate/BU strategy

    • Experience with analyzing complex data sets and leveraging advanced analytics to drive critical business decisions

    • Experience researching market/industry trends, company valuations, and the ability to find opportunities for Verizon’s growth based on this research.

    • Experience working in a large, dynamic, complex organization, where developing strong interpersonal relationships and leading through influence are keys to success

    • A collaborative approach to problem-solving and the ability to bring others along as you develop your data analyses and supporting arguments

    • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills (e.g., storyboarding, executive presentation)

    • Solid quantitative and analytical skills, including robust financial modeling skills and the ability to perform and review quantitative analysis with relative autonomy.

    • Strong self-initiative – the ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in critical areas while working in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong executive-level communication skills in a rapid-paced environment

    • Ability to travel as needed for business-critical meetings

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $120,000.00 and $223,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
