The Communications Integrations Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating efforts between the Local Market communications team and key internal partners—including Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Network, Verizon Business Group (VBG), State Government Affairs (SGA), and the Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned (PESO) team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Media Relations, this role ensures seamless integration of communications activities and efficient use of resources to support local market opportunities.
Managing day-to-day interactions, coordinating assets and activities, and supporting the execution of communication strategies across departments.
Providing support to media relations activities, as needed, assisting the Senior Manager of Media Relations. This could include serving as an on-camera spokesperson, or capturing content using a smartphone and wireless microphone.
Facilitating collaboration between the communications team and internal departments such as Marketing, CSR, Network, VBG, SGA, and the PESO team to align messaging and initiatives.
Attending regular project update meetings with internal partners and ensuring you’re connecting the dots between national events and local priorities.
Organizing and managing communications assets and activities from various departments, ensuring that resources are efficiently utilized to support local market opportunities.
Assisting in implementing cross-functional projects by coordinating schedules, resources, and deliverables to meet project goals and timelines.
Supporting the Senior Manager of Media Relations in executing media relations activities as needed, including preparing materials and coordinating with media outlets.
Assisting Media Relations Senior Manager, as needed, as an on-camera spokesperson for Verizon, delivering messages that enhance the company's visibility and reputation in the local market.
Helping write broadcast scripts promoting Verizon products and services and ensuring local Market priorities are included.
Using a smartphone and wireless microphone to capture engaging content, such as interviews and event coverage, for use in internal and external communications.
Serving as a liaison to disseminate relevant updates and information between teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on objectives and strategies.
Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhancing efficiency in cross-department collaboration, implementing best practices to improve workflow.
You'll need to have:
Bachelors degree or two or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience in communications, media relations, marketing, project management, or related fields, with experience in cross-functional roles or coordination.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience in script writing for broadcast television, with the ability to tell interesting and compelling stories.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools and experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Strong relationship-building abilities and the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced matrixed environment, adapting to changing priorities, and responding proactively to challenges.
Comfortability serving as an on-camera spokesperson, with strong presentation skills.
Willingness to use a smartphone and wireless microphone to capture high-quality video content.
Exceptional project management skills with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Conversational spanish language proficiency; ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking stakeholders.
Familiarity with creative AI platforms and tools to enhance collaboration and communication efficiency.
Proficiency in analyzing data to inform strategies and demonstrate the impact of integration efforts.
Understanding of the telecommunications sector and Verizon’s products, services, and market positioning.
Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance team productivity and collaboration.
Experience in coordinating cross-department events or initiatives that support business objectives.
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $148,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
