    What you’ll be doing…

    Verizon is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Corporate Governance and Reporting team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing team on a wide range of governance, reporting and public company matters and contribute to the overall effectiveness of Verizon’s corporate governance and reporting operations.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Providing logistical assistance for meetings of Verizon’s Board of Directors and Board Committees; facilitating related activities and recordkeeping, including minutes, resolutions, meeting materials and D&O questionnaires; supporting director onboarding/offboarding and Board/Committee self-evaluation processes.

    • Assisting Reporting team with project management, research and benchmarking; creating presentations for ESG governance committees.

    • Supporting activities relating to Verizon’s Proxy Statement and Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

    • Assisting with preparation and management of subsidiary governance documentation and filings, including formation and organizational documents, corporate structure charts, secretary’s certificates, written consents and delegations of authority

    • Responding to requests for information and support from business clients and internal staff.

    What we’re looking for…

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Experience in a complex corporate environment or law firm.

    • Ability to travel up to 25% of time to support board activities.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills

    • Ability to work both independently and as a supportive team member

    • Strong written and oral communication skills

    • Sound judgment

    • Adaptability with strong attention to detail

    • Proficiency in slide deck preparation, Adobe Acrobat, Workiva, legal entity management software and board portal systems (e.g., Diligent)

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $85,000.00 and $158,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
