This role will lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, crafting and executing campaigns and events and supporting the deployment of DEI strategies, programs, and initiatives. This individual will deliver on our goal of advancing world-class health with a human connection through our shared commitment to DEI.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, HR partners, and executive leadership, using your expertise to elevate Employee Resource Groups efforts and champion best practices.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Employee Resource Groups within the Diversity, Culture, and Community team.
Developing ERG and business unit-specific recommendations and action plans, ensuring alignment with Verizon's overall DCC framework, strategy, and business needs.
Owning the development, project management, and execution of roadmap and initiatives.
Gathering and analyzing internal and external data to identify trends and derive actionable insights to inform recommendations and action plans.
Consulting with senior business leaders and HR business partners to understand a complete view of the function and to prioritize, sequence, and activate ERG initiatives.
Supporting the design and recommendation of ERG programs inclusive of success criteria and metrics for impact.
Creating and championing an engagement and communication plan for consistent reporting on the progress of implemented ERG initiatives and tracking key ERG metrics.
Building, gaining agreement, and implementing a partnership model that defines how various key partners collaborate, support, or lead ERG-related work.
Supporting the broader DCC team with operational tasks and special projects as needed, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
Earning credibility and trusted advisor status by demonstrating deep knowledge of DCC-related subject areas and delivering on the commitments.
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in change management and effectively navigating stakeholder relationships across diverse groups in an enterprise setting.
Experience designing and implementing data-driven programs, with proficiency in managing dynamic budgets.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
A degree.
Finance operations experience such as Payroll.
Experience with Smartsheets.
Deep understanding of the multi-dimensional nature of diversity and intersectionality.
Flexibility with scheduling to meet processing demands.
Experience with proofreading and editing communications.
Customer service skills and background.
Ability to multi-task, and support day-to-day activities while managing customer inquiries.
Quantitative, organizational, and analytical skills.
