The CSR Volunteer Project Manager plays an important role in the day-to-day management of Verizon’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Volunteerism team reporting to and in close partnership with a Program Manager. The position supports company-wide volunteerism including the day-to-day management of the multiple volunteer programs as well as event & communications coordination, logistics management, program analytics, and strategy. This role will work directly with all levels across all Business Units at Verizon, including executives, and manage programming in all 50 states and 22 countries. The CSR Volunteer Project Manager is a critical member of the team and Verizon’s progress toward 2.5 million volunteer hours by 2025.
Responsibilities include:
Building and empowering a network of over 400 employees across Verizon to champion and lead CSR efforts in their local offices and business units.
Owning the Volunteer Champion program strategy and annual planning process to ensure the program is on track to hit annual program goals and seek opportunities for enhanced and streamlined execution.
Managing event and program logistics from conception to completion.
Evaluating internal volunteer programs with follow-up surveys and recap to support a data-driven approach.
Maintaining up-to-date Volunteer Champion trackers and listserv, and overseeing Volunteer Champion on-boarding and off-boarding process.
Reviewing and approving employee-led volunteer events.
Overseeing quality assurance of volunteer events to ensure each event meets Verizon guidelines and standards.
Developing and hosting program training.
Liaising with executive internal stakeholders and working cross-functionally to create support for volunteerism programming: this includes onboarding and offboarding program participants.
Providing a high level of customer service to all partners answering any needed questions and directing them to the most appropriate resource for further action.
Acting as a conduit between social responsible business team and employees, managing all communications including email, Slack, and other channels.
Stay up to date on business needs to ensure the volunteer program is meeting business units where they are and are serving up solutions for their unique needs including but not limited to researching and conducting initial outreach for time-sensitive volunteer campaigns.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Previous experience managing and/or planning events and/or large meetings.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Highly motivated individual who is flexible, a strong troubleshooter, and has experience working cross-functionally to achieve goals.
Driven, detail and results-oriented, organized and proactive.
Excellence in presenting to large groups including but not limited to program trainings.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced environment.
Savvy and creative with PowerPoint & creating decks.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
Demonstrated commitment to social impact and the role business plays in having a positive impact on society.
Experience working collaboratively across teams and departments.
Experience with HR or volunteer management systems is a plus.
Stellar judgment and ability to handle sensitive information.

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $103,000.00 and $191,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
