As a 2023 FIS University Program full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, professional development seminars and work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success; including bi-annual performance connects with your manager. 

This two-year full-time program has start dates in January, March, June, and September with a dedicated “Learning Week” where you will:

ABOUT THE TEAM

The FIS Fraud Fusion Team is an Intelligence led real-time alerting-based organization designed to identify fraud trends, control and system gaps to mitigate fraudulent activity in the earliest stages of financial activity.  This design facilitates fraud and operational savings for FIS Clients and FIS along with alleviating reputational damage.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Use quantitative and statistical methods to extract data and insights from structured and unstructured data.  Leverage machine learning, statistical modeling, and quantitative analysis to create/enhance unique data-driven alerts, products and solutions.  Review financial and merchant account activity to determine if fraudulent activity is present via known fraud schemes and identify new fraud schemes.

• Employ machine learning and statistical modeling to create and enhance data-driven alerts, products and solutions.

• Analyze and extract insights from internal and external transactional data.

• Work with Big Data and transform complex datasets into more usable formats.

• Work with a variety of data science tools and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, Scala, SQL.

• Work independently and collaborate with other groups to solve complex problems.

• Create and present analyses to internal and external partners and clients.

• Document models and write code to track and monitor models and product performance.

• Understand the realities of model development and make pragmatic and business-aware choices when trading-off sophistication and accuracy versus implementation and performance costs.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Fluent in English; Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Adaptability, a drive to learn, and strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work well independently and within a team

ADDED BONUS IF YOU HAVE

• Internal FIS Business Knowledge and/or Fraud experience

• Criminal Justice Degree

• Cyber Security certifications or associated industry degrees
