    Job Description

    What you’ll be doing...

    You will be part of a team of network, security, and systems engineers providing advanced operations and life-cycle engineering support of Fortinet enterprise management systems for the hub-and-spoke SD-WAN enterprise of a Federal customer. You will be responsible for Tier 2 / 3 Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management of the Fortinet production applications that comprise the Fortinet network management system, and the configuration tuning of the SD-WAN enterprise. This position will require the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Public Trust security clearance.

    • Review and evaluate security warnings or vulnerabilities pertaining to the management systems.

    • Install hardware or software fixes associated with security vulnerabilities.

    • Perform ongoing code updates to the management systems and headend devices.

    • Manage change to the management systems and headend devices per established Change Management framework.

    • Work with Verizon Operations and the customer to perform initial test and acceptance of new site device installations, and ongoing ad-hoc tuning of the Fortinet SD-WAN devices.

    • Participate in rotational team on call support of the Fortinet management systems.

    What we’re looking for…

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Strong knowledge of and experience with Fortinet management systems and devices, including FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiProvisioner.

    • Strong knowledge of and experience with Fortinet SD-WAN design, configuration, management, and tuning.

    • The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance.

    • Willingness to travel estimated at <25%

    • Willingness to participate in 7x24x365 team on-call support rotation.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or engineering.

    • Planning, architecture, or program management experience.

    • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Ability to act independently, assess risk, and make calculated decisions.

    • Program and project management skills.

    • Fortinet NSE-5 certification.

    • ITIL Foundation certification.

    • Current DHS Public Trust security clearance

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
