    The New Graduate Registered Nurse joins our Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program beginning on August 3, 2022. In the role as an RN he/she/they are responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in Adult Medical Surgical Units as directed by nursing management. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered as well as the Unit leadership team.About Emerson’s Nurse Residency Program –Emerson Hospital has partnered with the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ to provide our new graduate nurses with evidence based curriculum thatenhances their transition to practice. The curriculum is focused on critical areas for successful transition from student to practice nurse: leadership, the professional role, communication, evidence based practice and patient outcomes. Learning opportunities include classroom, simulation and seminars.
