    What you’ll be doing...

    As Engineer III Spec-Interconnect, you will be part of a team that works with the latest technology to provide our customers access to our many network components including 5G systems. You will be responsible for providing end to end technical oversight and project management for transport network expansion projects. These projects focus on the expansion of the Build Plan, EBH, dark fiber, and microwave networks.

    • Providing technical support and project management for the design, acquisition, and implementation for all transport circuits and equipment supporting Network infrastructure projects.
    • Planning, designing, and implementing the latest transport technologies in support of our 5G network rollout, in addition to supporting the existing 4G LTE infrastructure.
    • Managing transport vendor RFP, selection, contract negotiation, amendments, and ongoing relationships.
    • Utilizing internal databases to document project progress as well as documenting all fiber assets, designing end to end circuit paths to include equipment configurations and card/port assignments, and generating IPs.
    • Developing and maintaining circuit delivery schedules for each project and actively managing and driving the vendors to meet our deliverables.
    • Running various EBH utilization reports to evaluate capacity, and issue design changes as needed to maintain optimal performance of the fronthaul, backhaul, and microwave networks.
    • Working with Network Planning on strategic initiatives to develop future technology solutions that support our infrastructure.
    • Collaborating with other Network groups to ensure projects meet timelines and expectant demands in support of the Company’s objectives.
    • Managing capital spending on a monthly basis to align with forecasted spend and project timelines.

    What we’re looking for...

    Good decision-making skills (by making appropriate use of all available information and data; anticipating the future and preparing accordingly; recognizing the impact of decisions upon the rest of the organization; receiving broad guidance; being accountable for broad project results; and being responsible for the leadership of broad programs in support of organizational or area strategies).

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
    • Knowledge of IP addressing, routing principles, and network design.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • A Bachelor's Degree.
    • Experience in the wireless/telecommunications industry.
    • Experience with Transport eNSE architecture.
    • Experience in CWDM/DWDM Optical Transport systems including: Ciena, Nokia, and Fujitsu.
    • Experience in CND circuit inventory database or similar.
    • Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Highly productive and detail-oriented.

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes both assigned office days and work from home days as set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $146,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
