    What you'll be doing…

    As Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Strategy, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and evolution of risk assessment methodology and reporting of risks across the enterprise, reporting to the Associate Director, Enterprise Risk Management Strategy. This includes developing and reporting Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRI), and risk scorecards to identify and mitigate financial, regulatory, operational, strategic and technical risks. The team is responsible for identifying, assessing and managing current and emerging risks to the enterprise’s business model and strategy.

    This Senior Manager also thinks and acts strategically and will focus on supporting the following key initiatives:

    • Developing and refining the Risk360 Risk Control Self Assessment framework.

    • Owning and executing project plans and completing deadlines for the Risk360 wave pilots.

    • Performing due diligence and FROST mapping to Talent GPS job families for Risk360 waves.

    • Mentoring and coaching staff team members.

    • Holding working sessions with team members and business patterns to refine risk selections.

    • Supporting major ERM and enterprise-wide initiatives to ensure proper controls are designed and implemented.

    • Developing and designing processes for for Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

    • Collaborating with the ERM BI team to leverage data analytics where possible in the development, data collection and reporting of results.

    • Leading discussions with peer ERM teams to identify points of synergy and collaborate on holistic reporting.

    • Executing on time-sensitive issues and bringing them to appropriate conclusions.

    • Preparing and delivering presentations communicating risks mitigated, and the potential impacts of unmitigated risks to senior management.

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, or Information Systems.

    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Experience in operational compliance, risk management, business controls or finance.

    • Experience in developing and executing audit/test procedures.

    • Leadership and/or project management experience.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • A Master's degree in Business Administration.

    • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

    • A Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE).

    • Knowledge of Verizon systems, process and the organizational structure.

    • Experience driving complex solutions and analytics to provide ongoing and automated monitoring of key risks.

    • Experience formulating, affecting, interpreting and implementing policies and processes to ensure a strong control environment.

    • Experience utilizing auditing principles and methods to evaluate policies, processes and systems.

    • Telecommunications experience.

    • Working knowledge of statistics, reporting and analytical tools.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and/or Google Sheets and Google Slides for analytics and presentation.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
