    The Role

    Lumen offers a fully immersive, 10-week summer internship program. Our interns demonstrate curiosity, innovation, and a passion for advancing technology. We believe that empowering our people and helping them reach their full potential is essential for the long-term success of both Lumen and our customers.

    Program dates: May 30 – August 8, 2025.

    • This position is fully remote/ work from home.

    The Main Responsibilities

    In line with the Systems Transformation Team and Director of Operations, the candidate will be responsible for:

    • Writing and managing digital transformation business cases
    • Work with business stakeholders to capture benefits (qualitative and quantitative)
    • Work with finance partners to create financial models in support of the business case requirements and capital governance process
    • Work with Information Technology governance teams to update IT project intake applications/systems (As required)
    • Partner with IT Governance and or internal reporting analytic teams to develop automation where possible of data, analytics and reporting as needed by the team.
    • Responsible for value-based Intake and Governance program reporting, status reporting, tracking program interdependencies, and actively manage risks/issues.
    • Continuous improvement mindset and the ability to analyze business processes to identify process improvements and optimization.

    Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

    Required qualifications

    • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship
    • Graduating August 2025 – May 2027
    • Preferred fields include bur not limited to: Business, Computer Science, Economics or related field.
    • Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025)
    • US work authorization is required. Individuals needing visa sponsorship are not eligible.

    Proficiency and understanding of:

    • MS Office Suite
    • Understand the requirements of each task and discuss the approach with more senior members of the team.

    Compensation

    Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

    Hourly Based Pay Range:
    Min: $22.00/hour
    Max: $35.00/hour

    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

    This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
