The Main Responsibilities

Lumen’s Cybersecurity organization is looking for an Analyst Intern on our Corporate Security team. This team’s focus is centered around validation framework for our commercial and federal counterparts. The interns primary focus will be to support proposed/in place contract review, security assessments and implementation of Control Validation Framework anticipated for 2024. Interns can expect to assist with hands on team projects and individual contributions. This is team works closely with commercial and federal customers, industry standards (ISO, NIST, etc., and will allow interns to get exposure into risk compliance tools. You can expect mentorship and guidance on this team that will set up a foundation to launch a career in cybersecurity!

Other responsibilities of intern will include:

• Mapping controls within GRC framework
• Perform or learn assessment in alignment with industry standards – ISO 27001 and NIST 800:53, etc.
• Review customer contact security stipulations against proposed RFI and RFP
• Deep your feet into other aspects of cybersecurity space
• Other duties as assigned

What We Look For in a Candidate

Education Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2024 – June 2025.
• Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in – CS, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, MIS, Computer Engineering

Proficiency and understanding of;

• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Data Analytics
• BI Tools
• Process Modeling and Analysis
• Requirements Management
• Agile methodologies
• Systems Analytics
• GRC and ServiceNow knowledge are a plus

Work Setting

• This position will be fully remote/ work from home.
• Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the 10-week program (June – August)
  US work authorization

Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depends on each individuals level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range:

Min : $25.00/hour

Max : $41.00/hour
