    What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking an experienced media leader to join our passionate team, to help build the future of media for Verizon. You will report to the Director of VBG Media and collaborate with the Consumer and Brand teams as well as the Corporate Marketing Organization, Business Units, and our Internet Sales Operations teams driving demand for and engagement with the Verizon Business brand. You will be primarily responsible for supporting all brand and performance media and managing all initiatives and campaigns across National and Local Media, particularly supporting Verizon Business Group campaigns.

    As a member of this team, you will be responsible for shaping the media strategy and driving the activation of key brand initiatives including all media and partnership activations.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Leading strategy development for large-scale business initiatives including all media and partnership activations.

    • Serving as the cross-team marketing partner ensuring integration across all aspects of media; collaborating with Integrated Marketing, Consumer Insights, Marketing Effectiveness, and Creative teams.

    • Overseeing all implementation and execution of business media campaigns across all key segments.

    • Leading media agency relationships, providing clear briefings and direction.

    • Developing and driving learning agendas across all brand initiatives.

    • Managing cross-team delivery of campaign reporting and optimization.

    • Identifying and implementing innovation and thought leadership within campaigns and across the Media Team.

    • Participating in the implementation of partnership ideas that deliver on marketing objectives to drive sales enablement.

    • Driving media investment management strategy for the brand.

    What we're looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

    • Media strategy experience, including how to develop a communications strategy using all media touchpoints, with exposure to B2B planning.

    • Knowledge of data sources to ensure the internal and agency teams can connect the right data sources to drive performance decisions (i.e., audience targeting via DMP).

    • Willingness to travel.

    Even better if you have:

    • Experience driving successful data-driven media strategies that had a direct impact on sales growth; both consumer and B2B.

    • Experience driving improvement in media effectiveness across channels.

    • Deep analytical skills to ensure media is driving business performance; can anchor thinking in key brand and business performance indicators.

    • Client or media agency experience within a direct response capacity.

    • Media agency experience at the Director/VP level, or equivalent.

    • Experience inspiring others in your work group to achieve team goals including experience with expertise knowledge transfer.

    • Strong stakeholder and collaboration skills to build credible and trusting partnerships and joint idea-led media plans.

    • Strong project management skills demonstrated by a history of on-time and on-budget launches; deadline-oriented.

    • Experience balancing day-to-day tactical issues with strategic initiatives and complex technical projects.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can deliver clear presentations and POVs.

    • Knowledge of wireless products & services.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $118,000.00 and $218,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
