What you’ll be doing...

Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2025.

At Verizon, we are building a world-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. We have begun a comprehensive program to streamline processes, improve systems, realign the organization and add opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth. We’re finding new ways to add value and provide strategic support. This is the kind of work we do. We want to build leading FP&A practices within Verizon, setting the stage to become the place any FP&A professional wants to work. You can become a catalyst for change. Responsibilities will include:

• Capital Budget Management in Global Network and Technology ($300M+).

• Capital and Expense Planning for current and future year, Outlook submission to HQ and day to day management.

• Cash Flow management – requires solid understanding of the entire purchasing process, ERP systems, vendor management, supply chain and distribution.

• Provided financial guidance to Engineering teams.

• Ensure the team successfully executes on capital spend and meets the investment/build targets.

• Present and communicate to all levels of the business.

• Should be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2025.

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

• Project management experience.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A Master's in Business Administration, Procurement, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.

• A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).

• An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis.

• Demonstrated in depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.

• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.

• Proficiency in UneFi, nSAP, Fuze and 1ERP.

• Experience completing complex tasks without supervision.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
