    What you’ll be doing…

    The Verizon Cyber Security (VCS) organization enables the business by protecting assets and information across Verizon networks, infrastructure and applications. VCS integrates cybersecurity governance, policies, technologies and operations across Verizon, and works to incorporate security into the design of technology systems and services.

    The AI CyberSecurity Enablement role is new and under VCS Readiness and Proactive Security. This role will have four main pillars. Tool and Platform Integration: Identify and integrate AI tools and platforms that support the organization’s AI initiatives. Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices for AI development, deployment, and maintenance. Collaboration Facilitation: Foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams can work together on AI initiatives. Skill Development: Develop training programs and resources to enhance the AI capabilities of team members.

    Responsibilities associated with the position include:

    • Working together with cybersecurity teams to identify areas of improvement where AI solutions can help

    • Teaching others how Generative AI tools can improve their workflows

    • Keeping up to date on the latest Generative AI technologies and trends

    • Experimenting with new Generative AI tools and techniques

    • Developing and implementing AI-powered cybersecurity solutions

    What we're looking for…

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Five or more years of experience in Cybersecurity or Security Risk Management.

    • One or more years of experience experimenting, prototyping, or leveraging Generative AI solutions.

    • One or more years of adapting prompt engineering strategies to different Generative AI models and tasks.

    Even better if you have:

    • Experience in developing and implementing AI-powered cybersecurity solutions.

    • Experience using local LLMs for prototyping and experimentation with GenAI (e.g., Ollama, LlamaFiles).

    • Experience in training and educating others on Generative AI tools.

    • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python.

    • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

    • Demonstrated continual learning around the field of Artificial Intelligence.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
