Verizon Partner Solutions (VPS) is the global service provider of choice, delivering a better customer experience on a world class network with wholesale voice, data and Internet solutions. The VPS Fiber Infrastructure Center of Excellence is committed to supporting our customers’ increasing demand for fiber infrastructure and network services and enabling customers to expand and diversify their networks. VPS is at the forefront with new and emerging high bandwidth services positioned to capture growing industry demand with the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence (AI) market. Verizon is hiring a Senior Manager in Product Development to meet the demand for new fiber products and expansion in key strategic markets and data centers.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for launching and scaling new fiber infrastructure products and for product lifecycle management of existing services. The role requires a working knowledge of the telecommunications, technology and fiber networks.
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and execute strategies for assigned products
Bring capable service to the market
Set pricing and develop go-to-market strategies
Work with cross functional teams to deliver on product timelines
Create senior level presentations
Conduct customer trials
Develop/manage balanced Scorecard Metrics and Dashboards
Perform Competitive Trend Analysis
Track and analyze product level revenue and margins
Deliver on the commitment view associated with the product responsibilities.
As an ambassador for the products for which you are responsible, you will:
Work with Sales to understand the voice of the customer and act on customer feedback to identify new product opportunities to generate profitable revenues
Team with Sales, Sales Engineering, and fellow Product Line Managers in general technical analysis, network design, and RFI/RFP preparation/response
Partner effectively across Verizon teams, including network engineering, service delivery and finance
What we’re looking for...
Ideally, the chosen candidate will have familiarity with telecommunications services, specifically Collocation, Broadband, WAVE, and Dark Fiber. Candidate should be comfortable talking with technical resources and distilling complex concepts into manageable summaries. Candidate should have strong communication skills, be organized and be able to work independently
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Six or more years of experience in telecommunications, fiber networks or related field
Verizon Product Development experience
Experience in all aspects of managing marketing or mitigation strategies
Strong technical and marketing skills
Relevant product and industry knowledge
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Technology or telecommunications industry experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $128,000.00 and $238,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
