JOB DESCRIPTION:
Leidos has an excellent opportunity to join NASA’s Cargo Mission Contract (CMC) as a part of the Crew Provisions team in our Houston/Webster, Texas office. This is an entry level position where the candidate will learn, grow and perform in an engineer role as a Crew Provisions Hardware Specialist.
This position involves working on tasks related to the hardware CMC sustains for NASA's International Space Station (ISS), Orion, Human Landing System (HLS), Gateway and Commercial Programs. In addition, the position will support hardware project development and certification of spaceflight. The team member will perform daily tasks including maintenance, repair, research, development, preparation, delivery, and performing inventory management of flight and non-flight hardware items. The team works with commercial software such as IBM Maximo, Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, and MS SharePoint, in addition to CMC custom software.
This is a hybrid position which requires in office support on a weekly basis, once trained the anticipated schedule is 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Support of tests and other activities may be required outside of normal working hours but is not typical.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Author and monitor work orders, purchase requests, job plans, non-conformance reports, internal/external customer presentations, designs, and trade studies
Perform pre-flight processing and delivery, assembly and stowage of hardware
Provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents
Support hardware development projects to certify, flight-configure, and deliver new hardware for spaceflight
Create and maintain project resource-loaded schedules in MS Project Professional
Develop basis-of-estimates (BOEs) for new work
Support multiple requests and projects, prioritize, and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Read, interpret, and develop engineering drawings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline, or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

US Citizenship Requirements
Must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation; U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required due to length investigation for non-U.S. persons.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using Microsoft Suite, MS Project, and MS SharePoint
Experience working with multi-discipline teams and customers
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Organized, proactive, and communicates clearly
