This is a 10 week program, which consists of two components: training and work experience. Students will spend the first half of the program participating in an intensive training program run by Qubit by Qubit instructors to develop foundational skills and knowledge in quantum computing and the second half of the summer interning at IBM. This program is geared toward undergraduate students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM, including women and non-binary students, and Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous students. Students will be expected to come into the program with basic Python proficiency but there are no math or physics prerequisites, recognizing the inconsistency of access to this type of coursework.
