As the Senior 5G Project Manager , you will oversee multiple projects to deliver Verizon Private Networks and Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) solutions. Your responsibilities will include implementing and transitioning these projects into ongoing support while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
You will be accountable for project governance, financial tracking and analysis, partner contracting and management, and applying standard project management processes and artifacts. Additionally, you will manage risk and play a key role in developing and improving project processes and methodologies.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams across various business units, including Verizon Enterprise and Verizon Wireless (Product Management, IBV Radio Frequency, Regulatory and Construction, and GNT). Your primary focus will be ensuring the seamless deployment of Private Wireless Networks (PWN) and MEC solutions. This position requires strong leadership skills, collaboration in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to devise creative solutions to complex challenges.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer project communications.
Develop comprehensive project plans that include objectives, work breakdown structures, schedules, quality acceptance criteria, and project outlines.
Oversee and manage project implementation by tracking schedules, managing change control, coordinating cross-functional teams, issuing reports, and enforcing project controls.
Lead and manage the installation process, including ordering equipment and backhaul, coordinating RF engineering, ensuring infrastructure readiness and construction, handling installation and activation, and transitioning the project into ongoing support while invoicing equipment and services.
Conduct project evaluations and secured customer agreement for project close-out.

You’ll need to have...
Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Six or more years of experience managing technical programs and projects related to networking or cellular engineering projects
Industry project management certification such as PMP or CAPM
Experience leading complex and concurrent endeavors
Experience influencing others to take action and collaborating with various stakeholders
Experience working effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver against critical deadlines
Experience working independently, taking high level direction and proactively moving a project or internal initiative from start to finish with minimal assistance.
Even better if you also have...
Experience within cellular technology, radio frequency, regulatory and construction
Experience with Smartsheets and Google docs.
Technical industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, etc.
Excellent organizational & communication skills and be able to work with a sense of urgency
Able to perform a wide variety of organizational tasks and direct the work of others.
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $101,000.00 and $188,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
