Senior Engineer- Software Development is responsible for developing and maintaining code that integrates seamlessly with our Jenkin CI/CD pipeline, ensuring high-quality software delivery. In addition to mastering traditional development tools, the role requires leveraging the latest technologies such as Copilot and Generative AI to enhance productivity to bring best in class innovation to our development process. As a Senior engineer, you will lead by example, driving excellence and efficiency while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement within the team. You will also be expected to participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance to junior developers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
Developing and maintaining Spring Boot applications using Java programming language.
Designing and developing of microservices using Spring Boot framework implementing scalable, high-performance applications, and ensuring that they are robust and reliable.
Being responsible for delivering the clean , efficient , well-documented code that meets industry standards and best practices.
Collaborating with cross functional teams to design and develop end to end solutions.
Implementing best security practices.
Conducting regular research and analysis to identify opportunities for leveraging disruptive technologies to solve complex problems.
Creating and delivering a comprehensive white paper each month, detailing the latest advancements and trends in technology.
Being responsible for code reviews, ensuring the quality and maintainability of the code base.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Developing dashboards that provide insights into usage statistics, aiding in better customer service support and driving new business initiatives.
Ensuring applications are security compliant from the start by promoting a compliance mindset during the design and development stage of the cycle, as opposed to an aftermath post production activity.
Mentoring and coaching junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally.
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in system design, development and integration of backend systems. Must be proficient in developing applications in Java, Spring boot and microservices architecture.
Experience with RESTful / apigee web services, microservice architecture , and API development.
Experience in development of microservices interacting with databases such as Oracle, Cassandra.
Extensive experience with middleware technology like MQ, Kafka, along with a solid understanding of event driven design patterns.
Extensive experience in automating the entire software development lifecycle using CI/CD practices.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of AWS architecture and AWS services, including API, RDS instance, and Lambda to build serverless applications.
Familiarity with technologies such as Unix Shell Scripting , HTML,JavaScript & Python is a plus.
Experience in working with Oracle, SQL and writing queries with good performance.
