    What you’ll be doing...

    As a Senior Engineer in the Satellite Solutions Group you will be a Technical Project Manager responsible for all aspects of implementing Verizon Satellite (GEO/MEO/LEO) for VSAT sold customers. You will develop Project Plans/Statements of Work and ensure full-service delivery for Enterprise, Government, and International Customers. You will coordinate Projects working and handling day to day tasks including scheduling installs, shipping and tracking equipment, and ESP activations. The Technical Project Manager will schedule and participate in project calls with customer and external vendors.

    You will be the primary contact for all Projects from original order receipt to full implementation. You will act as a functional/technical expert with the ability to engage additional resource experts as required to ensure service delivery.

    This role also requires Procurement and Vendor Management. You will be responsible for creating purchase orders, MMID’s, processing goods receipts , tracking past due vendor payments, and managing vendors.

    You may be required to work in different corporate systems, vendor systems, and systems internal to the Satellite Solutions Group. You may be required to work under a very fast paced priority from time to time.

    • Working independently, driving and leading internal and/or external stakeholders.

    • Providing technical expertise, understanding to collaborate and disseminate down to customers and other stakeholders.

    • Following time management and follow up must be considered A+.

    • Switching priorities quickly, and possibly re task work assignments.

    • Addressing customer and/or stakeholder escalations.

    What we’re looking for...

    You must be detail-oriented, think critically to solve issues in real-time and customer focused.

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Three or more years relevant experience.

    • Experience in Project Management or Project Coordinator.

    • Work experience and knowledge of satellite product (GEO/LEO/MEO).

    • Experience interworking/networking skills.

    • Experience with de-escalation strategies for internal/external stakeholders.

    • Work experience with Enterprise or Government customer.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • A degree in Communications and/or Engineering.

    • System experience to include VECRM, ESP.

    • Four or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields. Telecommunications, satellite, managerial/leadership experience.

    • Four plus years customer service experience.

    • PMP – In Good Standing by PMBOK.

    • ITIL Foundations

    • Previous Portfolio Management Experience.

    • Knowledge and experience in NSAP.

    • Knowledge and experience in creating Purchase orders and processing Goods receipt.

    • Knowledge and experience in creating MMID’s.

    • Previous experience managing vendors.

    • Strong and highly effective interworking/networking skills.

    • Ability to adapt to changes – openness to different viewpoints and ability to learn new skills and concepts as our network transforms.

    • Intermediate to higher skills with Microsoft office suites, specifically excel.

    • Intermediate to higher skills with Google suites, (Google Sheets, Google Folders, Google Docs, etc).

    • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
