The Senior Manager of Workday Product Development will own and lead the development and execution of the Workday platform strategy within the People Analytics team. This role will involve managing a team of Workday developers, overseeing the design and creation of reports and dashboards, and ensuring a user-centric approach to development that aligns with the needs of various personas across Verizon and HR.
This is a home-based position and can sit anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing a comprehensive short and long-term vision and strategy for the Workday platform, aligning with the overall People Analytics and broader organizational goals.
Leading and managing a team of Workday developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality Workday reports and dashboards that meet the needs of diverse user personas.
Collaborating with stakeholders across HR and Verizon to understand their reporting and analytics needs, translating them into actionable Workday solutions.
Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all Workday reports and dashboards.
Staying abreast of Workday best practices and emerging technologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the platform.
Promoting the adoption and utilization of Workday across the organization through training, communication, and user support initiatives.

You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, with a strong focus on Workday development.
Proven experience in managing and leading small teams.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear and actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Looker, Tableau) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
