    What you'll be doing...

    The Senior Product Manager is responsible for cyber security services offered by Verizon; Verizon Business Internet Security (vBIS) and Verizon Mobile Internet Security(vMIS) that are integrated into Verizon’s network and device offerings. The role’s mission is to drive the direction and innovation of their product portfolio which will entail solutions designed to fulfill cyber security objectives in the emerging world of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Secure Service Edge(SSE), and Zero Trust(ZT). Emerging solutions will work in the cloud, on-premise, or hybrid paradigms focused on small and medium businesses.

    As a Senior Product Manager, you will guide and/or collaborate with a team of product managers and developers in creating product features that not only meet current market needs but also anticipate future trends. Additionally, you will ensure Verizon's products remain competitive and drive revenue growth, working closely with business sponsors, users, and customers to identify key pain points and collaboratively design, and build solutions that delight the end-user and then partner with sales and service to sell those products to meet the revenue targets.

    • End-to-end ownership of the product(s) from the development lifecycle (i.e., ideation to release) and lifecycle management to grow the business (analytics, usage, strategy).

    • Monitoring launch and post-launch progress.

    • Reviewing and prioritizing product requirements; Defining the vision and business strategy for new products; Identifying and tracking KPIs and using them as a cornerstone for communicating to stakeholders, and the team's focus and priorities. Can communicate technical requirements as needed (i.e., understand the tech behind the product really well).

    • Responsible for the product P&L, identifying and managing commercial risks, and ensuring strategic product decisions align with the business decisions.

    • Gaining an in-depth understanding of customers and users, gathering key insights that will shape the product experience. Balancing those with the limitations defined by key stakeholders.

    • Conducting market research on customer needs, and pain points and performing competitor gap analysis, identifying new offerings to drive growth, and converting /refining them into product ideas.

    • Working closely with product marketers and engineers to understand the market and technology trends, defining and driving product vision, business case, and product strategy, and distilling a product roadmap.

    • Partnering with the engineering, and Global Network & Technology (GNT) organization on product development to deliver products that are fit for purpose and desirable in the market.

    • Collaborating with the Marketing & Sales organization on product positioning, and messaging, creating a product distribution and commercialization plan, creating and setting product targets and enablement needs, and creating solutions that meet those needs.

    • Defining Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), managing product backlog priorities, and strategically de-scope to achieve rapid feedback cycles.

    • Synthesizing perspectives across a diverse set of stakeholders to make quick decisions.

    • Communicating the value of the offering to customers, stakeholders, and leaders.

    • Identifying future potential and opportunity space for your product and getting your teams, customers, and business network excited about it.

    What we're looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

    • Experience with Product Management.

    • Experience with consumer insights, market trend analysis, rapid prototyping, and/or analytics.

    • Willingness to travel.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Secure Service Edge (SSE), and/or Zero Trust (ZT).

    • Experience with product life cycle process (e.g. business cases, requirements, etc.).

    • Experience with router/device-based security solutions with cloud-based back-end components.

    • Experience with building B2B advanced networking, SaaS, and/or telecommunications products.

    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and motivating/inspiring them to go the extra mile, even in uncertain circumstances.

    • PMP Certification.

    • Experience in operating within a multi-channel/multi-region brand

    • Ability to utilize business and technical expertise, see the big picture, drive revenue, and have the confidence to make the vision into reality.

    • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

    • Strong understanding of the market opportunity.

    • Strong understanding of User/Customer Experience, development of KPIs, and management of service against SLA stipulations.

    • Strong product intuition and user empathy for both ensuring the service provides value to the customer and the customer is able to fully utilize the service and see the benefit of the service.

    • Experience working in a dynamic environment where diverse perspectives are respected and considered for creative solutions to difficult problems.

    • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is self-motivated, but also a team player with a professional presence.

    • Excellent communications and prioritization skills, and strong business acumen.

    • Strong cross-functional skills, can motivate people not on their direct team.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $128,000.00 and $238,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
