Your Role and Responsibilities • Work within a true agile development environment focused on collaboration and cross-discipline engagement to deliver required solutions using industry leading agile tools. • Actively deliver code meeting production engineering standards leveraging high performance, security, quality, and stability. • Work closely with mentors and Technical Lead to understand and implement development solutions for the related product/service area. Required Technical and Professional Expertise • Successful completion of IBM internship • A solid understanding of software development and programming languages - Java, C++, C, Ruby, Python, PERL, React • Ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently. • Highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products. • You thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines • You have very strong verbal and written communication skills in English. • Interest in cloud-hosting solutions and CI/CD pipeline tools • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, building restful APIs and Web services • Basic understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases • Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of a global team, as well as working independently and taking ownership • Excellent presentation and documentation skills (using MS Word, MS PowerPoint) Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise • Strong skills in Java and Spring / Spring Boot • Some experience developing web UIs preferred to better integrate the backend • Any experience with Node.js would be a plus • Knowledge of using and deploying on key Cloud technologies – Kubernetes or OpenShift, Cloud Object Storage • Application design and development best practices including REST APIs and microservices • Persistence using DB2 and NoSQL data stores
