Acxiom is looking for a Senior Software Engineer focused in Java development that will analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software to enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial, end-user applications and internal tools that improve efficiencies that supporting our diverse industry segments and clients. They will use current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. As you advance in your career the expectation is individuals become thought leaders and communicate those ideas.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Define and delegate complex code plan
• Contributes to application architecture
• Have a broad understanding of the external events that may impact applications or systems (networking, operations, etc.)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Java and WildFly as its runtime environment
• GCP/AWS experience
• Linux
• Shell scripting including bash, ksh, awk and other basic Linux utilities
• Hibernate for interacting with Oracle
• Maven
• Git
• Writing and debugging Oracle SQL, troubleshooting database performance
• Client communication
• Basic conceptual knowledge of networking, load balancing and firewalls
