Solutions Architect for Healthcare Tech Company
This position requires up to 50% travel
This position will require meeting with customers at the customer’s site to install, implement and deploy the NextGate products, and provide training
Works with NextGate technical and management teams to understand customer requirements
Works with NextGate customers to understand customer needs
Create and document requirements based on technical conversations towards creating Java based applications for Customers and NextGate
Understand, translate requirements into creating finished products
Be ready to learn any and all of the NextGate products
Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations (as deemed necessary)
Follow existing and/or establish new coding guidelines
Demonstrate flexibility, agility and teamwork towards accomplishing assigned projects and tasks at the highest level of quality and timeliness
Work with the NextGate IT staff to setup local systems for testing
Work with the NextGate QA staff towards setting up test environments
Work with the NextGate Documentation staff towards creating user and reference guides
Work with the NextGate Training staff towards creating training guides
Adheres to NextGate and customer policies
Treats customers with the utmost respect
Provides prompt and accurate responses to customers
Documents customer and NextGate requirements and provides regular status updates
Escalates customer issues to NextGate management promptly and appropriately
This position is located in Monrovia, CA, applicants must be located in the area or willing to re-locate.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Sound knowledge on RDBMS concepts
Knowledge on Shell scripting
Resourceful, flexible, team player
Understanding of software development methodologies and modern best practices
Ability to develop and document requirements and specifications
Passion for learning and constant improvement
Understanding of Source Control Management tools
Experience in Linux and/or Windows operating systems
Excellent English language skills – verbal and written
NetBeans or Eclipse or equivalent modern IDE
XML processing, SOAP, REST, Web services, LDAP integration, SAML, XACML, SSO, Relational db exp
