    What you’ll be doing...

    Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Verizon's legislative strategy, community engagement tactics and content in support of company goals and positions across all business units enterprise-wide with a focus on issues including technology deployment. Identify and track statutes and regulations to identify impacts on the company and work with appropriate organizations to ensure compliance with changes in rules. Responsible for management, support and maintenance of various regulatory and financial reports.

    • This position works with a wide range of clients, including State policy makers as well as internal Business Units.

    • Responsible for addressing external inquiries, development and completion of a variety of Policy report filings, budget management and expenditure tracking.

    • Supporting cross functional wireless and wireline consumer business and network teams in delivery of next generation interactive media, video, OTT (Over the Top) Video, voice, data, cloud gaming, and connected home services. Support franchise team initiatives to execute strategy, network, product, technology, and operations goals to ensure end-to-end legal requirement identification, review, and implementation for contracting, regulatory, marketing, privacy, and consumer protection mandates related to all aspects of FIOS Video.

    • Supporting the advancement of the company Public Policy agenda as advisor and operational leader supporting the entire region.

    • Leadership Skills: People or Program Management: Leads large project teams and/or organizational/functional programs. Identifies appropriate resources needed and develops plans/schedules. Acts as a team lead within department, work unit or project and delegates work to team members. May supervise sub-projects or smaller projects. Strong communicator, proactive and results oriented.

    • Work Complexity: Work is varied within a sometimes-ambiguous environment. Work requires constant interpretation. Solves a wide range of complex problems. Provides solutions to multiple business or technical issues that have organization-wide impact.

    What we’re looking for...

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Three or more years of experience in a related field.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • A degree.

    • Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently.

    • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.

    • Experience in working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $76,000.00 and $141,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
